Sunday mornings at home really sounds good. However, Sunday mornings at coffee houses sounds good too, isn't it? Try imagining eating nasi lemak and teh tarik.. or perhaps laksa sarawak or mee kolok? Well, there's plenty to choose at affordable price. ;)
If you choose to wake up earlier on Sunday mornings, you'll have the chance to take a look around your garden and get your green fingers into work (well, they had been resting for the whole weekdays). Or maybe you can use the extra time to cycle or jog around the perumahan. (wait a minute, PERUMAHAN? somebody please lend me an oxford dictionary!!)
you can do ANYTHING you LOVE on Sunday mornings. So it's really hard to say you don't love Sunday mornings, huh? For me, I love loVE LOVE Sunday mornings (or maybe, the whole Sunday, from day to night) ;)
well, miss jenin would like to share a really simple recipe , which is really easy to cook(it only takes a few minutes) and easy too, to find the ingredients :
missjenin's lazy morning pancake
1 cup flour
1/2 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup water
2 (bijik?oh no.. where's my dictionary again..) eggs
+
2 tbsp of butter, which is melted in pan earlier
1.mix all those ingredients in a mixing bowl and add the melted butter too (you have to mix it well, until there's no more ketul2(i really need to go back to english classes). then scoop it into the pan (1 scoop per pancake if u want it to be a mini pancake, or 2 scoops if u want it to be a big one)
2. when it turns brownish, that means it is ready to be eaten! serve it with fruit jam, syrups(chocolate syru, maple syrup..), honey, butter or peanit butter or anything as you wish. you can also eat it with scramble eggs.
3. you can do variations to the recipe, maybe if you want to make a chocolate-chip pancake? just add some chocolate chips into the ingredients. if you want to eat the pancake plain without any jams or syrups, make sure you add 2tbsp of sugar into the ingredients.
this recipe is for four servings ;) why? well, because currently there are four people living in my house (minus my sister abroad). if you want to serve for more people, you can change the measurement according to your logic.
p/s don't worry if your pancakes turn out ugly during the first try. it's normal and still taste the same =)
well, that's all. I'm still a junior chef too, so if you want better recipes, Mr. Google will always be there to help.
