Shopping Smart : Annoy the salesgirl back

Ever been in a supermarket where the salesgirl was really over-the-top in promoting their product, that they even resulted in consistently bugging and following you during your supposed to be shopping therapy?


Now, here's the remedy : Annoy them back!

Well, not all salesgirls are that way. Some courteous ones really do help smoothen our shopping trip. But for certain cases, we really do need prevention. Well, because sometimes, due to their extremely aggressive guidance around the mall, we ended up buying things we don't need, things extremely pricey, or even cheap-but-low-in-quality products (which becomes instantly damaged once we use them).

So, here's what my momma did:

Mom was going to put 'soap X' into the shopping cart when suddenly S appeared out of nowhere.

Salesgirl X : No, no, no.. don't use that one! It's not a good brand. Use this one.

She opened the lid of liquid soap J and without any mention, held it out to M's nose so that M can sniff the smell from the soap's perfume.

Salesgirl X: Furthermore, it's good for your skin. The soap which you chose, meanwhile, will make your skin rough. Well, it will cause irritation. to your skin and rashes. This is a bad, bad choice....(How would she know? We had used it before, and it's quite a good soap)

My mom, who had enough of the annoyance already, finally replied: Who says I'm going to use it? I'm using it to shampoo my kittens. 

haha. as if we have even one kitten.

After that, salesgirl X become speechless and just stared at my mom as she confidently strolled the shopping cart to the cashier. :D

well, if you KNOW what you want to buy, and you KNOW you don't really like what they are promoting, then you KNOW what to do.

oh, and by the way, my mom rocks!
